Ford and Essence partnered up to bring Washington, DC a fusion of food, music, art, and style. The event was loaded with local influencers, residents, and celebrities. Oh yeah, and it had endless whips made by Ford. Yup, all the up-to-date 2017 Fords you could ask for AND they let me whip a few of them around the city!

Y'all know I am a family man, but I had to be selfish this time around. I took a ride around town, with the roof off, in the 2017 Ford Mustang. The ride was crazy! I wish it was mine. I did take the 2017 Ford Explorer out for a spin as well. They gave me a free gift bag after completing both rides.

To top it off, we were showered with beautifully crafted drinks and tasty hors d'oeuvre's.

I was so excited to be able to speak with celebrity stylist Ty Hunter. In the fashion industry its alway inspiring to hear from those who have been doing it for along time. His message to me was to "not let outside noise dedicate my greatness." He said "work hard, create the way that you want to create, and help others along the way." That I intend to do, brother!

The My Ford City event was the highlight of my weekend. I met so many dope individuals, local talent, and watched live performances by some big name people. I love the thought and effort that Ford put into plugging theirselves into the Washington, D.C community. It says a lot about the organization's direction and its intentional need to be connect with cities across the US.
