If you missed the preorder period, that is it folks, these will not be stocked again. I had the opportunity to catch up with Kory Stevens, who is one-half of the founder duo at Taft. Being curious in nature, I wanted to know how the Calico Boot came to be. Well here's what Kory had to say!

" I went to the factory late last year and I happened to be there for a really big textile fair. It was there that I found this wool with amazing texture and detail. Never seen wool like this before so I knew I had to get it."

"I got the textile sample and ended up designing the Calico Boot for myself. I loved it, but I knew it would be super polarizing and not sure how anyone would react to it. I just designed it for myself an planned on keeping it just for me."

"I posted a photo of it on Instagram really casually and everyone freaked out over it. I got tons of emails and texts about it, so I ended up putting it online for preorder."
