Today my wife, kids, and I made our way to Arlington, Virginia. Initially, we wanted to find a location to shoot some content for a collaboration that I'am doing with a bag company but those plans changed. We started to google places to eat around Pentagon City Mall, and the Sugar Factory Pentagon City Mall popped up as well as Sugar Factory Union Station. My wife went to the Sugar Factory in Miami, but she only had a drink and no food so the deciding factor for us was which location carried food and drinks, which was the Pentagon city location.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Sugar Factory's decor. It was really nice and I can see myself doing a lifestyle shoot there in the future if they'll let me! It wouldn't be right if a restaurant named "Sugar Factory" didn't have candy galore right? They had walls full of candy as well as a bar full of candy to satisfy your sugar crave. I think that's what my son enjoyed the most about our dining exprience.
Now to the good stuff. Here's what we had!
DRINKS
RASPBERRY WATERMELON MOJITO- Made with delicious Fruit Juices, Cruzan Raspberry Rum and topped with Watermelon Candy and Fresh Mint Leaves, it will cool you o in style!
KID'S LEMONADE- Dressed with gummy lemons and lemon Swedish Fish candy

THE SIGNATURE FACTORY SUGAR FACTORY BURGER- 🍔 Grass fed Angus beef, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, crispy onions, Sugar Factory sauce with choice of cheese on a toasted brioche bun
SAVORY SHRIMP- 🍤 Sautéed golf shrimp, fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, béchamel sauce and asiago cheese served with mixed greens, tomato and balsamic vinaigrette

Shoutout to the organizers for choosing this dope location for the second Street Meet DC photowalk of 2018. Surprisingly, I've never been to the Eastern Market before. All I could do is keep telling everyone around me how fire this location is. I was ready to put my photographer eye to work and take advantage of the dope models and great scenery. It was raining quite a bit, but it helped produce some great lighting to capture my images.
ABOUT EASTERN MARKET
Eastern Market can be easily accessed off of the blue, orange or silver Metro train line. The historic market is located at 225 7th St SE, Washington, DC 20003. Here you'll find a lively landmark for local food and crafts. The neighborhood is absolutely amazing with colorful townhouses. It is nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill. So, if you want to enjoy crafts and food, Eastern Market is the place to be.

Kenricka and I took a quick trip to Portland, Maine to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We lodged in a really cool Airbnb location. Our host had a notebook where previous guests could enter places that they visited during their stay. A lot of them kept recommending Silly’s Restaurant, so we decided to give it a try.
We were pleasantly surprised by Silly’s Restaurant because from the outside it looked like a home converted into a restaurant, but it was much more. We were greeted by a host of servers and eclectic aesthetic.
The food selection catered to individuals that eat meat and vegetarians. Below you'll find the food and drink selections that we made!
Boo- Berry Margarita El Elspolon Tequila, fresh lime juice, sweet berry puree, shaken till perfect and served on the rocks with a Grand Marnier floater
Sweet Potato Fries Hand cut served with honey mustard sauce
The Empire Strikes Mac Your choice of BBQ smoked pork, a buffalo grilled chicken breast or buffalo tofu ~V~ served with pickled zucchini relish & spicy buffalo sauced mac & cheese
( I opted for BBQ grilled chicken breasts)
Bleu Swayed ‘Cue A hamburger with pickles, cheddar, bbq sauce, bacon, caramelized onions & bleu sauce

I can't believe that we are almost through the first month of 2018. There's been so many great things happening in DC. Street Meet DC held their first meet of the year on U street. The turn out was amazing with over one hundred individuals coming out to support the movement. I personally enjoy the meets because it gives me an opportunity to hone in on my photography skills as well as learn from my fellow photographers from the DMV area.
The U Street neighborhood can be described as vibrant, eclectic, and exciting. It is rich in history, diversity, and music-filled. There are so many historical landmarks that surround U street, a few being the Howard Theater, Howard University, 14th St Corridor, and the SHAW neighborhood. You can access the heart of U Street through the green kine on the metro. Let me tell you that there is no shortage of food and music options over there. U street has you covered whether you want Italian or soul food, and you can't forget Ben's Chili Bowl. You'll find a few international eateries as well!

It’s hard to believe that this is the last meet up of 2017. We met at the Woodley Park Metro Station and began to make our way around the multicultural neighborhood of Adams Morgan. The clash of amazing models, photographers, and scenery enhanced our exploration of the area. I will definitely be returning to Adams Morgan to shoot content for my blog and capture architectural images of the neighborhood. Check out some of the images that I captured below!
